Econfina River State Park
April 9th, 2010
This was a really neat little park. No entrance fee’s at all. There is a small covered picnic area with lots of shade for nice lunches with the family. There are 14 miles of walking/hiking trails. The man that cares for the park was such a nice friendly man! We were very impressed with this little park.
The fishing from here must be amazing because there were lots and lots of trucks and boat trailers in the parking lot.
The launching fee is $5.00.
Another nice thing about this park is that they post all upcoming events all over the park. Sometimes smaller parks are more intimate and in tune with the community and therefore it feels like they care about the surrounding area and its residents.
There are nice little hotel rooms to rent and stay a while at this park and I do recommend that. They are shady and quite cozy. Fire pit out front and a picnic table.
We really enjoyed our visit to this park and suggest that if you want a nice place to put your boat in the water that you come here. I also would love to just sit back along the river and read while Travis and Austin fish.
Thanks for such a nice experience Econfina River State Park. We will be back!!
