Bored in Tallahassee? Volunteer at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens
August 6th, 2009
If you happen to be looking for something to do this Saturday, August 8th 2009, why not stop in at Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park and lend a helping hand for a couple hours? This beautiful State Park is inviting the public to come show some love and help prune back the overgrowth on the Lake Overstreet Trails. If you’re interested in helping you can contact Ken Lewis at (850) 487-4115 and let him know you would like to help. It probably goes without saying but dress appropriately. wear a comfortable pair of closed toe shoes bring some pruning shears or any other tools you think you might need. If you do not have any the park can provide you with some to use for the day. Also you might want to pack a cooler of water or something depending on how long you think you might be there.
As for us we haven’t been to any parks as of lately but we have plans to visit a spring or something here in the coming weeks. You can be sure that we will let you know when we do. If we live din the area we’d come out and help ourselves but unfortunately that’s a bit of a drive at the moment so we won’t be able to attend.
Happy shooting, have fun and be safe.
