Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is a beautiful park located on Key Biscayne in Miami. Sadly we didn’t get to spend a lot of time here as we had places to go and people to see but none-the-less we did get to visit the park and take some beautiful photos. Pam ended up with one of my favorite photos during this trip ( the sepia lighthouse ). The beaches were a bit crowded while we were there so we might suggest visiting during the week when people are likely to be at work and kids at school. Of course we are talking about Miami so it might not even matter what day of the week it is. Maybe one of you readers can leave a comment and let us know if you have been there during the work week and how crowded it was then. There’s a little Lighthouse Cafe there that you can stop and eat at as well. We didn’t get eat there so again we can’t tell you how the food is but i’m sure it’s pretty good. It sure looked good anyway… Read More about our trip to Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

Alright so we just upgraded to the newly released Wordpress 2.8 and among checking out the website to make sure everything was alright, I noticed that the park locator was broken on a couple of pages. This has apparently been there for a few weeks from what i can tell. The Park Locator does still work on most pages and it does show State Parks when i do a search in our sorrounding area so you can still most likely use it. Anyway we’re leaving for Miami here in about an hour but when we get back i will dig into it and see if i cant figure out where the bug is coming from.
Like i said, we’re headed to Miami so that means we will definitely have something to write about when we get back!. We’re not quite sure where we are going to go yet while we are down there so Subscribe via Email and find out where we went as soon as the article is published. Think of it as a suprize.
We’ll be back wih plenty of new photos to share with you guys! Have a great day and Happy shooting.

Fort Mose Historic State Park is a nice little park in St. Augustine, Florida. We learned quite a bit on our trip to the park. We learned about the history of the park and what the future holds for it. The fort started out as a settlement for freed slaves from the British Carolinas. Established in 1738 by the Spanish Government, Fort Mose (mo-say) is the earliest known, legally sanctioned, free black community in the present day United States. The park itself sits on the beautiful St.Augustine coastline. There is a beautiful board walk that leads out over the Salt Marsh, a brand new Visitor Center that was built a couple years ago.

Things aren’t as sunny in Florida as they used to be these days with the economy the way that it is and everything but we’re keeping our heads up and pushing forward. Thanks to state-wide budget cuts, our trips (and yours) to Florida’s beautiful State Parks could end up costing us (and you) more. Only a few years ago the money that was available to Florida’s Historical and Cultural Grant Programs was about $50,000,000 (million). Now the money that is available to these Grant Programs is only $3,000,000. that’s 6% left (94% cut) from the original budget we had only a few years ago.
